1. Service Overview

KeepsLock is an asset-protection and theft-prevention service that lets users register the serial numbers of their physical assets and notifies the owner when a third party looks them up.

2. User Obligations

You agree to:

  • Register only assets you legitimately own
  • Not register others' assets or submit false information
  • Not file false or malicious theft reports
  • Not collect, use, or distribute personal data obtained through the service
  • Comply with applicable laws and these Terms

3. Paid Services

  • Ownership transfer fee: ₩1,900 (or local equivalent) per transfer
  • There is no monthly subscription fee
  • Refunds may be limited once digital fulfillment (transfer code issuance) has begun
  • Pricing and offerings may change with prior notice

4. Privacy & Permissions

We collect email, serial numbers, approximate location, and use camera access as required to operate the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Service Changes

We may modify or discontinue all or part of the service for improvement, maintenance, incident response, or operational reasons. We will provide advance notice when reasonably possible.

6. Disclaimers

The service is an aid for asset identification and notification. It does not guarantee theft prevention, recovery, or investigative outcomes.

We are not liable for damages arising from:

  • User fault
  • False registrations or fraudulent use
  • Network or server outages
  • Force majeure events
  • Unlawful acts of third parties

This does not exclude liability for our willful misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the account page. We may restrict or terminate accounts after notice for violations of these Terms or unlawful conduct.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply. EU consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in their country of residence.
